I have the honor to meet you on the Cooperative and Agricultural Credit Bank’s web site.
I hope through those words to brief you on the local developments,
and to
demonstrate our bank accomplishments have achieved, in addition
to summarize
the different activities which the bank is
implement
to achieve its strategic goals.
By launching this web site in
Arabic and English, we aim at giving our stakholders
a new window over our activities in addition to provide our dear customers with
an easy channel to obtain information and
statements of
their accounts held with the bank as a first step in providing full e-banking services.
On this occasion, I have the pleasure to give you a short
brief about the bank foundation,
its objectives and policies as
follows:
The Cooperative and Agricultural
Credit Bank was established according to law number (39) of 1982 as result of merging the National Cooperation
Bank for Development (founded in 1979) and the Credit Agricultural
Bank (founded in 1975) and for 22 years, the bank served as a specialized lender
for the agricultural and fishery sectors.
At the beginning of 2004, we set
our new strategic goals that emphasized on the enlargement of the bank roles in
the economy based on an expansion policy of our line of services to include all
banking services available in the Yemeni
market.
That expansion was approved with
a major strategic goal, that is to extend the banking services availability to cover
the whole country.
Whereas the CACBank has 44 branch , it became the largest network in
Republic of Yemen
that use state of the art banking system such as (ATM & POS).
For the time being, we in CAC Bank
are working on the following key areas :
- Complete
the automatic process for the bank with full integration.
- Sustain the
competitive edge of having the widest network of branches and other service channels
in all governorates.
- Implementing
the Restructuring Project of the bank by an international consultancy firm starting from March 2007.
To accomplish all these
goals efficiently, we in CAC Bank adopted a short and long-term training
policy to qualify our employees and to keep them up with the new
approaches, based on our believe that, the qualified human factor and personal skills
of the service provider is considered the main reason for success
and the chance to win the confidence of the clients.
